Hey out there...
I'm Anthony, I recently relocated here from the Denver Area and don't know anyone in the local climbing community. I know there is plenty of climbing available and probably the best part is the lack of crowds I've found. Unfortunately, that also makes it a bit difficult to run into people and develop relationships without going out of my way to do so. So here I am.
I'm 25, I have been climbing seriously for about 7 years. I'm safe, reasonably experienced and comfortable climbing. I love to be outdoors and really need some partners to get up cliffs with outside of the gym. I can comfortably climb 5.10's and push myself up 5.11's if that's what's required, I like a challenge but having fun is certainly number one. In terms of leading, I'm pretty happy on anything up to 9 and start freaking out a bit from there, but again I like a challenge. Alright, I'm not trying to write a novel here, if you want to climb with me, or let me tag along with you, please let me know. Thanks.
Peace,
Anthony

Anthony, Climbing in Idaho
Anthony,
Climbing in Idaho is awesome, but it is hard to find reliable partners. There are a bunch of us that climb at Boise Peak on Monday and Thursday nights at 6 PM. We also spend most of our weekends somewhere climbing. My email is fedinidaho@hotmail.com. Look forward to hearing from you. Brian

Hi Anthoy,
This is an old post I am replying to so I am a bit doubtful I'll see a response, but nothing ventured nothing gained. I started climbing at the black cliffs in the early '90s and have tried ever since to diversify my climbing experience. I left Idaho for many years and climbed in the Californian cradle of American rockcraft as well as areas in Oregon, Nevada, Arizona South America and of coarse Idaho. I have been proficient in sport, trad, alpine and ice disciplines. For a while I even worked as an instructor and guide for an AMGA certified outfit. Lately I have been alienated from the local community by a lack of involvement due to professional distraction. Being on the outside of a local climbing community looking in is an odd place to be. Not only are there the usual social barriers to meeting people, there is also the climber specific measurement of respective capabilities, habits and philosophies to consider. Now that the snow is flying these measures are relegated to web interactions or a gym environment. Have you had much luck meeting climbers through the BCA?

Sounds like you are mostly into the ropes but bouldering has been good all year. Swan Falls is great through the winter as long as the sun is shining. Reynolds creek is almost in season too. email me If you ever want a tour of the small rocks or ever want to go pebble wrestling. scrappyv14@yahoo.com
